This year, in addition to hosting the traditional ball as we usually do, we have exciting news!
We are offering the option of a delicious dinner before the ball. The meal will be a professionally catered sit down dinner with Gilded Age music in the background. It will include chicken marsala, baked vegetarian ziti, roasted potatoes, steamed vegetables, salad, dinner rolls, dessert and lemonade and ice tea as your drink options.
After dinner we will proceed with live music and dancing inspired by the Victorian era (1837-1901). Music for the dancing portion of the event will be provided by the Lily Gilders, and we will be dancing on the Sons of Italy's fabulous hardwood floor. All dances will be taught by dance historian extraordinaire, Sharon Guli. No prior dance experience is needed.
Historic attire is encouraged but not required, modern dressy is a fine alternative. Bring a camera, you will want to photograph this event! This year's intermission will highlight The Gilded Age show from HBO, set between 1870 and 1900. There will be a photo backdrop available to take pictures with your own camera, as well as a professional photo booth for an additional fee.
A silent auction will support the VSC, which is a Colorado non-profit 501(c)(4). We'd love for you to bring an item to donate for sale and also please bring some cash to buy other silent auction items. Auction items do not have to be Victorian.

FAQs
Please read VSC's Liability & Photo Release Form. You will be asked to agree to its terms on the next window.
What is the refund policy?
Tickets are refundable through August 31, 2024. No refunds beginning September 1, 2024, however tickets are transferable. We have sold out several times, so buying in advance is a good idea. We have had to make more room for a larger group by having less tables during the dance portion in previous years, so we do NOT guarantee a seat at a table during the dance intermission. We will have as many chairs along the walls as we can fit.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The Sons & Daughters of Italy Venue has a parking lot and parking is free. For the sake of the neighbors, we encourage you to refrain from parking lot conversations late at night.
Is the venue ADA compliant?
Yes. This venue IS wheelchair accessible.
Will tickets be sold at the door?
We strongly recommend you purchase your tickets in advance. Sales at the door depend on ticket availability. In previous years we sold out and there were NO ticket sales at the door.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Printing your ticket is OPTIONAL and will not be needed at the door. Your name will be on a Guest List at check in.
(If you give your ticket to someone else they must know the exact name you purchased the ticket under and will show their own ID).
Is my registration fee or ticket transferable?
Yes, however, the new person should provide the original name from the ticket when checking in.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Yes. When you check in at the event, give us the name under which the ticket was purchased, but be sure to have your own ID with you.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
12 or older must have a ticket. Under age 16, see children policy below. Have your ID available for inspection.
What is your CHILD POLICY?
We view children as the future of our Club and welcome them to our Grand Ball when they can adhere to our child policy, as follows:
1) Children (and adults alike) should not run across the dance floor during a dance, because of the risk of tripping people.
2) The dance mistress will announce when a particular dance is too complex for children, and they will need to sit and watch instead of participating in that dance.
