Cheyenne Dance Club

1800's Leavenworth Ball

  • Event: 1800's Dancing, Prior to each dance there will be a brief teaching walk-through. Refreshments and drinks provided.
  • When: Saturday, August 17, 2024. 6-9 pm- arrival time 5:30
  • Where: Riverfront Community Center, 123 S Esplanade St, Leavenworth, KS 66048
  • Price: $10 per person, register by Saturday, August 10th
  • Dress: 1800's Period Dance Highly encouraged or Semi-formal wear. Gloves are required and will be available for purchase. Long trains, spike heels, weapons, tobacco and liquor are prohibited.

Olde South Timeline Ball

  • Event: Timeline Ball with Timeless Dance directors and the Blue Ridge Rounders live band. Free dance practice at the hotel. Free formal photography by the Olde South Ball Photography Studio. Fun shopping at the Olde South Bazzar and Silent Action.
  • When: Saturday, August 31, 2024
  • Where: Embassy Suites & Golf Resort, 670 Verdae Blvd., Greenville, SC 29676-9090
  • Cost: $85 per person includes a formal supper and homemade dessert
  • Dress: Historical Formal Modest Attire from 1700-1899 is requested for the Timeline Ball. Modest Modern Formal Wear is accepted.

Gettysburgh Remembrance

  • Where: Gettysburg, PA
  • When: November 14th thru November 17th
  • Event: There are events occurring all weekend long. Friday night and Saturday night there are various balls you could attend as follows:
    • Friday Night - Joy Melcher's Remembrance Day Ball at the Eisenhower Hotel and Convention Center. Dinner may be purchased separately and is served in the ball room. Contact CivilWarLady.net for futher information.
    • Saturday Night - The Original Civil War Ball at the Eisenhower Hotel and Convention Center. Contact Sons of Veterans Reserve of the Civil War - Stephen A Michaels @414-712-4655 or lt.col.sm@gmail.com. Snacks and light Hors d'oeuvres.
    • Friday & Saturday Night - The President's Remembrance Day Dinner & Ball, at the Hotel Gettysburg. Each night consists of a three course dinner and the ball tickets or just the Ball tickets are also available. Friday night is usually a Fancy Dress Ball and Saturday the standard Civil War Ball.   • Other Events:
    • Joy Melcher has her sulterly at the Aspire Hotel, which is connected to the Eishenhower Hotel and Convention Center. Beginning Thursday, Nov. 14 thru Saturday, Nov. 16th.
    • Saturday, Nov. 16th is the Remembrance Day Parade in downtown Gettysburg usually starting 1pm.
    • There are also presentations throughout the battlefields in the area.
    • The town of Gettysburgh has many cute shops where you can purchase women's and men's clothing and accessories for the ball.
